As we wrap up 2025, this month’s Insider Circle is all about appreciation, reflection, and community ❤️
December is a time to pause, look back on how far we’ve come, and recognize the people and moments that made the year meaningful — both inside and outside the gym.
Inside the Mind of Oliver Nam – Because of You 🤍
Oliver closes out the year with a heartfelt thank you to the Thrive community. He reflects on what truly matters as we get older: connection, consistency, and surrounding ourselves with people who make us better. Thrive isn’t just a gym — it’s a relationship, a steady presence, and a place to feel supported. As we move into 2026, Oliver reaffirms his commitment to continuing to improve the Thrive experience and to showing up for the community that inspires him every day.
A Cup of Joe – Training for My First HYROX 🏃♂️
Joe shares his experience preparing for his first HYROX competition — a challenge that requires both endurance and strength. Training for something this demanding has pushed him physically and mentally, but it’s also given him a new appreciation for how resilient his body has become. After a year of managing injuries, Joe reflects on how far he’s come and encourages members to look back at their own progress and celebrate the small wins.
Jon’s Journey – Being Present 🧘♂️
Jon reflects on the importance of slowing down and truly being present. After years of multitasking and distraction, he’s realized that the moments that matter most are the ones right in front of us. Through meditation, reflection, and everyday awareness, Jon shares a reminder we all need — life isn’t happening later, it’s happening now.
Veronika’s Views – Pilates: What’s the Big Deal? 🌿
Veronika breaks down what Pilates really is and why it’s become such a powerful complement to strength training. From its origins with Joseph Pilates to the modern practice we know today, she explains how Pilates supports mobility, stability, balance, and overall body awareness. Her takeaway: Pilates isn’t just exercise — it’s a way to move better, feel stronger, and reset the body.
Chana’s Reflections – It Was Easier as a Kid 💭
Chana opens up about overthinking, perfectionism, and how adulthood can make even the things we love feel heavy. She reflects on how kids move through life with curiosity instead of expectation — doing things simply because they want to. Her reminder for December: let go of perfection, stop waiting for the “right time,” and do things for the experience, not the outcome.
Kaelen’s Korner – It Never Gets Old 🎶
Kaelen reflects on what he’s learned from being part of the Thrive community — from embracing imperfection to staying curious and open to learning. Thrive’s diverse membership has shaped his perspective, reminding him that growth comes from the process, not the destination. His message going into the new year: keep learning, keep showing up, and enjoy the ride.
Naomi’s Insights – Finding What Truly Restores You ✨
Naomi shares a powerful reflection on exhaustion, self-care, and what actually helps her recharge. Instead of following generic wellness advice, she discovered that connection and creativity are what truly restore her energy. Her story is a reminder that self-care isn’t one-size-fits-all — it’s about knowing what adds to your life and giving yourself permission to choose it.
Member Appreciation – Kim Smith 🌟
This month, we’re celebrating Kim Smith — a Thrive member since 2011. Kim’s consistency, kindness, and dedication stand out, whether she’s training at the studio or making time while traveling. She’s a reminder that strength training isn’t just about workouts — it’s about showing up for yourself and your community, year after year.
