You have to take all the information you hear with a grain of salt.
There is research done on both the negative and positive of foam rolling.
Bottom line, I like foam rolling.
I like it NOT to break up tissue or ?tenderize? the muscle.
I like foam rolling so I can activate ?sleepy? muscles. So those sleepy muscles can help take some of the force out of the ?overactive? muscles. Equally share the workload the body has to do throughout the body.
All in all, gently and progressively get into foam rolling.
Theres no rush with this modality.
